Walking in January

A walk above Todmorden today 

We visited Crosby Blitz Beach where rubble from bombed buildings in Liverpool were brought. 

On another day we walked around the hills of Saddleworth above Uppermill.

Then I squeezed an afternoon walk in one Monday.

Went to the cinema to watch tis last week...scary stuff!

February

I can't believe it.....I am actually writing a blog post in about the actual month that we are in!! Will this last I wonder?

So February started with a catch up with my friend after work one evening at our favourite cafe in Uppermill....

 We had a little more snow....not too much but enough to make the drive to and from work a beautiful journey.

Then one evening a trip to our favourite cinema in Hebden Bridge to watch Stan and Ollie, a really heart warming poignant film

 Then the next day we decided to drive up to Stanbury, park the car and walk up to Top Withins....

On the way home we called in at Oakworth Station on the KWVR line

 

Then one grey and cold Sunday we went to Liverpool.

 Well the Wirral actually....we caught the ferry on a round trip on the Mersey.

Then on another day we went to Towneley Hall near Burnley.

 The snowdrops have been lovely in my father in laws garden.

 and in my own garden it feels like spring is on its way.

 I treated Hubby to a candlelit take away for valentines day!

I have had a lovely week off work for half term....but more of that in another post.
