So this is my Easter Round up (sorry, it's a long one!)
We finished school before the holiday with our Easter service in church and lots of Easter activities.

Inspired I went home and made Hot Cross Bun Chocolate bars
toast some hot-cross bun cubes in the oven.....
melt some 35% milk chocolate
coat the cubes of the toasted bun in the melted milk chocolate, leave to set.....
melt some 70% dark chocolate with butter and golden syrup......
Mix most of the cubes into all the dark chocolate and put into a tin lined with food wrap and sprinkle the rest of the cubes on top.....
put in the fridge to set.
I ate way too much chocolate over the Easter holiday!
Then I started to prepare for our own Easter Celebration at home
it was time to indulge in my favourite flowers.....
Out came the Easter decorations collected over the years.

An Easter afternoon tea for my family on Easter Sunday
While I was busy in the kitchen making cups of tea, my brother hid little Easter treats in the other downstairs rooms....I kept finding them all afternoon....my very own Easter Hunt!
We had to move the Easter tree from the cats who thought it was a new toy!
Then on Easter Monday we woke to this!
It was the perfect excuse to stay in bed and read my book....with Misty!
We had noticed over the past few days a bad smell coming from under the stairs and the cats were unusually attentive to the gap under the door....
We think one of the cats had brought a field mouse in and it had escaped under the door and was living a 5 star life eating the bird seed! So out came the mouse trap and it was caught and released somewhere safe away from the cats......
The next day it was bright enough to plant up three pots in the garden with some spring colour.
And my friend and I met up for a late lunch at our favourite cafe in Uppermill, Saddleworth.
And the sun came out and it was so lovey and warm the day after that......
I took myself off to Bankfield Museum in Halifax
I love this museum so much.
Then on the way home I called in at Sowerby Bridge for a stroll around.
Late lunch and a walk around our garden
I have been a bit behind with my #stitchaweek
