We walked the local lanes in the late sunshine after work
I also had chance to walk up near to a place I use to visit when I worked in textiles. I used to visit a mill up in Norden near Rochdale. The mill has gone and houses are where it use to stand.
and a good walk is always a great excuse for coffee and cake afterwards.
We said a final goodbye to my lovely father-in-law in September. He was such a wise, encouraging and generous man who will be so very missed.

One magical evening we walked the lanes near our house and saw at least four barn owls, (definitely not the same one in different places!) This one kindly stopped nearby where we were standing and I was able to take a few photos before it flew right over our heads!
I took some cuttings of mums remaining roses from her front garden (not sure if they have taken) as her house finally sold and we said goodbye.
| My brother and I outside mum's house for the last time. |
A walk up Lark hill to scatter my mother-in-laws ashes. We have been waiting until all the family could be there.
The only plum on our tree this year.
