Northumberland and my birthday

 As I mentioned in my last post we were lucky enough to go away to Northumberland for six days as soon as restrictions allowed.

So this post will be all about our little trip.

We stayed at a little cottage just outside Corbridge.

We took a walk around Corbridge, it was a lovely village, with many pretty buildings.

The first full day was a busy one. (Photos have loaded back to front!) First we went to Holy Island, then Bamborough, then Seahouses and Craster.

The next day we did the Roman Stuff! Corbridge was a Roman Settlement and we went along the Roman roads, saw lots of bits of Hadrian's wall (had a rather tasty lunch next to Hadrian's Wall too) and Housesteads,

The next day we went to Durham.

unfortunately both were closed

We explored some pretty villages as we headed back to the cottage.

That night we sat outside the pub in Corbridge for our evening meal...it was a bit chilly!

The next day was my birthday...Hubby got me two cards!

As a birthday treat he had booked us a visit to Alnwick Castle Gardens to see the Cherry Blossoms.

On the way back we called in at Alnmouth

Loading malfunction again...all gone on back to front in the next bit!

Was supposed to be Warkworth and Amble. Then the next day we went to Corbridge Roman Settlement, Kielder water, High Force and Barnard Castle.
