Bang up to date and I am actually blogging about things we have done in February!
I have been lucky enough to receive lots of lovely flowers this month.
This was the last of the snow at school at the beginning of the month
There has been way too much cake..I will never get into that special Party dress in April at this rate!
after the ceiling fell in last autumn we decided we had better paint the newly plastered ceiling....what a job!
There had been a few red skies in the mornings too.
Mum's old dog is hanging on in there, she is very wobbly on here legs, stone deaf, poor eyesight but still insists on getting out all her toys when mum gets visitors.
I did 'easy batik' with my class 2 children, it was a great success too!
Hubby took me out for a pre-Valentines meal...
and then bought a lovely meal from good old M&S the following day......I am so lucky!
I received some beautiful flowers off hubby too!
I can't resist daffodils at this time of the year.
Then last Sunday Hubby and I went to meet Diane and her hubby at the Yorkshire Sculpture park to see this exhibition before it ended. (read Diane's blog post about the day here.)
We had tried to find something to amuse 'the boys' when we met this time.
A lovely exhibition that ticked all the boxes, we all enjoyed the artwork some for the artistic detail and some for the subject matter, we all especially loved the French themed artwork.
It was interesting to find many of the objects in her work were in the cases containing her sketchbooks.....it all made me want to go home and be creative!
We particularly liked Emily Sutton's stitched birds (might be a step too far to attempt to make one Diane!)
Diane and her hubby were very kind to me and didn't make me walk too far as I had hurt my back on the Saturday....we had a stroll though.

I really enjoyed watching the art installation in the chapel, the songs and the images especially poignant.
The boys spent most of the time a few hundred yards ahead of us. This is no different to many walks with bloggers, the bloggers take photos....lots of photos and the poor people that accompany them toddle off, usually on their own but this time both had someone to talk to!
We were curious to find empty shells in the mud around the lake...they looked like large sea shells?
We were just in time to see the camellias starting to open in the camellia house.

Just enough time for a coffee and cake before heading back after a most enjoyable day.
A lovely day spent with lovely friends at one of our favourite places, thank you to Diane and your hubby!
