October Workshops and walks

October wasn't a happy month for us. Our lovely Lucy Boo died and left us heartbroken. 

But of course life went on for us and so I attended a Workshop in Garstang with Anne Brooke.

 It was one of her Stitched collage boxes workshops. I had an idea for my box before I went.

I wanted to do it as a remembrance box for my Grandad who died in the second world war and who is buried in Normandy.

I photocopied lots of bits of papers to do with him and a few old photos. I plan to give it to my mum as a Christmas gift.

 I treated myself to a book by Jackie Morris.

We tried to tidy the garden a little.

 And we went on a good long walk on the hills above Gauxholme

 The path is an old pack-horse route from Todmorden to Rochdale.

 And down into Gorpley Clough.

And back down to the car.

October saw me at yet another workshop (yes I am addicted!) this time at one of my most favourite places, Hope And Elvis.

This time with the very talented Gretel Parker.
