A mini break (Easter part 3)

So over the Easter break, Hubby and I managed a night away.
We decided on Whitby. After a recommendation from our friends we booked somewhere to stay and an evening meal and set off early one morning.

You can't go to Whitby and not have fish and chips!

It was a drizzly mizzle sort of day......and cold!

We had a walk around Whitby after our fish and chips.

Our friends had suggested we pop into the La Rosa Tea Room but it was closed.

so we decided to drive up the coast a little to Staithes

We have been many times to Staithes, such a quaint, artistic fishing village.

They have such imaginative signage around the village.

 and a gallery cat!

It was mid afternoon and time for a coffee......we popped into Dotty's Tearoom

The hot chocolate was delicious!

Back in Whitby we found our hotel for the night.
The White horse and Griffin....a very old inn built in 1681

That evening after a cocktail......or two, we ate at the inn.....delicious food!

after dinner a stroll around the now quiet town

The next morning after a hearty breakfast we packed up and said goodbye to Whitby ( not until I had a sneaky peak at the back of the hotel!)

and I can't believe it but I must have a part four to finish my Easter holiday posts!!
