Happy Easter

Hello my friends

I do hope you have had a happy peaceful Easter.

Mine started with a family tradition of chocolate for breakfast!

Then a hot cross bun about 11am
I managed to decorate a little for Easter, but I am feeling one step behind every thing these days.

I am usually so on the ball as they say.
I usually post birthday cards etc.so they arrive in time but this year I just can't seem to be on time with anything!

Any way. 
Did you have a Good Good Friday?

It was sunny but cold here.

We decided to drive over to Haworth.

We walked around and had a lovely lunch.

and met the church cat.

We got a bit carried away and was 4 minutes late back to the car. We had parked on the notorious Changegate car park. A private car park where there had been many cars clamped in the past and charges to release were extortionate but they had been stopped from clamping a few months ago....now they sit in a car and jump on anyone who is late. Yes it was a fair cop, we were 4 minutes late back but it cost us £60 cash there and then to the shifty man in the mirrored sunglasses. I counted three other tickets on cars waiting for their unsuspecting owners to return. Not a bad hours work for him.

We tried to forget the incident and called in at the railway station at Oxenhope on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.

The train had just arrived so we bought a platform ticket.

Then after a while decided to call it a day and go home.

Saturday we decided to drive north to the Dales.

We had a lovely lunch at the Abbey Tea Rooms near Bolton Abbey then drove to Burnsall.

Then on to busy Grassington

where we managed to lose the crowds to be able to take some photos.

The local butcher had a sense of humour!

This next picture might alarm you...
apparently the passenger seat head rest in hubby's car had started to rattle so...

he had stuffed a small furry hamster there to stop it...one of Lucy's toys!

I had knitted an egg cosy for Hubby for Easter (it has a cream egg in it at the moment.
I hope this post contains all the things expected of an Easter Post and that the rest of the holiday is happy for you all.

Monday 25th March

Monday and the snow was sticking around.

Tuesday 26th March

More snow falling as I arrive at work on Tuesday.

We have been looking at the story The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in class 3 and on Tuesday we made Turkish Delight.

Wednesday 27th March

On my drive home on Wednesday I couldn't help it and stopped to take some photos of the sheep in one of my favourite photo spots.

and yes it was snowing again.

But when I got home the sun had come out.

and some of my little daffodils had opened.

Thursday 28th March

On Thursday morning the sun was out again.

Easter Bonnets

We had our Easter celebrations at school.
An Easter bonnet parade by KS1

and KS2 did some fantastic decorated eggs.

Thursday 28th March drive home

We went to church in the afternoon and by the time I left school the sun was out and I decided to drive home over the tops. 

This road was closed due to snow earlier in the week.

This is the reason why the road was closed.

Then we come to today. Good Friday. I will save that for my Easter Post.
