Lovely Liverpool

Last Saturday I met up with the delightful Diane my blogging pal from Heart Shaped.

We decided to visit Liverpool.

It is a wonder we managed to see anything as we did none stop talking from 10 am-3.30pm!

We have met up quite a few times now and we get on so well it is as if we have known each other for years.
Museum of Liverpool
I really wanted to present Liverpool in a good light as the last time she had visited, Liverpool was on a bit of a downer.

I am happy to say the weather was kind and we walked for miles and enjoyed looking at many of the beautiful buildings the city has to offer.

It has lots of new building that sits well with the old.

We walked around the new Museum of Liverpool....well worth another visit.

We left the Docks and walked through the city.

(I also posted about Liverpool here and here.)
If you want to read Diane's post about our visit to Liverpool pop over here.

We had a great day in Liverpool and I enjoyed Diane's company very much.
Thank you Diane for a lovely day.

Hydrangeas from the garden

Do you like my Maisie Mouse?
I made her for a friend's new baby.
I claim her as my September Monthly make.

Horse Power

So the bridge and first house in my last post was used in the film Atonement starring Keira Knightley and James McAvoy. Well worth a visit ( and not just for the cake!)

Last Sunday we went to The Pageant of Power at Cholmondeley
Lots of lovely cars
Some old.......
....some new.

and some strange looking motorbikes!

Some that flew through the air!
There were speed boats and
aeroplanes.

we had sunshine and showers.
But my favourite part was horse power of a different kind.

The  Rockin' Horse Equestrian Stunt Team.

The horses were used recently in the Snow White and the Huntsman movie.

The pet rabbit was saved from the Baddie by the Good Knight.

A very good show

The 'Bar' at the show

I have been doing a little bit of sewing too this month.
In school I have made a Seaside Cafe in the role play area in Reception.

I made some aprons for the waiter and waitress.

and I finished my cat applique started at Hope and Elvis with Janet Clare

We had gorgeous weather at the beginning of the week but the rain and wind has been lashing the country for the past three days and ruined any chance of getting in the garden this weekend.

so I will leave you with some photos taken during the recent good weather.
