An adventure...

 At the end of March we went on an adventure.

It involved going on a plane.

The flight wasn't too long but we arrived in the dark...

Had an upgrade on our room.

and woke up to this glorious morning the next day!
We had travelled to Spain to visit friends and celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary with them.

We stayed at La Finca Golf and Spa Resort, Algorfa about half an hours drive from Alicante 

That evening we joined our friends at their party. 

The next day we met up again to play mini golf and have a very long lunch.

And the next day Hubby and I travelled to Madrid by train.

arriving at Atocha Railway Station.

Then a short taxi ride to our hotel for three nights.

It was Palm Sunday and we saw lots of processions through the streets.

we needed a drink at the end of the day!

This was the day we had desserts for lunch. As a vegan and vegetarian Spain isn't a great place to eat. We found an amazing Vegan restaurant later on in the holiday but even cafes for a quick lunch involved meat! So what do you do? You get a dessert instead!!

We went to the F1 Exhibition at the IFEMA just a short taxi ride from the centre.

Then back at the hotel it was up to the roof terrace for a G&T 

before heading out for an evening meal (lots of plates of vegetables!)

And the next morning our adventure continued in another city...
