Spanish Adventure part 3.

 Yes I have neglected my blog yet again!

I will finish the Spanish Adventure now on this post as there are a few more lovely things I would like to share with you. I warn you, it is a long one!

After breakfast we took a taxi to Port Vell. It was Good Friday.

We paid a few Euros to board the schooner Santa Eulalia

We had booked a ticket to visit Parc Guell so off we went in yet another taxi!

Gaudi's Parc Guell (1900-14) was his most ambitious project after Sagrada Familia, conceived as a garden city of the type popular at the time in  England, but opened as a public park instead in 1922.

Set on a hill it gives you the most amazing views over the city.

I went with my mum in 2018 it was a late afternoon early evening visit and not quite so busy. Read about it here.

There were parakeets every where, building big ball shaped nests in the palm trees.

Back in the city for the afternoon...

It was Good Friday so there were lots of processions in the streets.

Then we had our evening meal at this lovely restaurant...

The next morning we got up early and took a taxi to Parc de Montjuic

we walked past the swimming pool used for the diving in the Olympics...

Then got a cable car down to the port!

then walked around the narrow streets of Barceloneta

Then we stumbled upon another Gaudi designed house, Palau Guell.

Then it was back to the hotel for an early night and as dawn broke we were flying home.

What a fantastic adventure we had.
