Bluebells and blossom in June

A bit of a catch up post as we come to the end of June.

 Way back in May we went to our local wood to see the bluebells.

Our little darlings are now over a year old and giving us lots of joy!

Editions and Objects

Last Friday evening I attended  an open evening of a new exhibition at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. I met up with my lovely friend Diane and her hubby and drank champagne, ate canapes and mingled with the artists from St Jude's

We then walked down to the little chapel

and then back to normal life!
The exhibition is on until the end of October so I just might have to go back and have another look.

Postcard from Wales no 5

And so to my last postcard from Wales (a trip we made in April!)

 On a drizzly last day we visited a slate mine and....

 then Dolwyddelan Castle

Then we headed home (phew....the last of my postcards from North Wales done!)

Way back in April we also went for a walk in Lancashire.

In the shadow of Pendle Hill we walked along the River Ribble.

 We walked through the little village of Grindleton

 across a VERY muddy lane......

Down a Wild Garlic filled valley to a little river....

And we ended up back in the delightful village of Waddington. 

They hold a very unique achievement of being awarded the Best Kept Village of both Yorkshire and Lancashire due to the boundary changes of 1974!

Happy 90th Birthday to Queen Elizabeth II too!
