So February came and has almost gone. A lovely short month and this year it has been quite mild.
Of course we had Valentines day....three cards from the three dogs I sponsor at Dogs Trust (and one off Hubby!)
I cooked a meal and went over board on the decoration of course!

I got some bargains in the supermarket it was Buy one.....get one free!
I have been off school for half term this week.
It started with a tidy up in the garden.
With a few surprises popping through our neglected patch.
On the last day at school I baked some Viking Spiced Oat cakes for class 5 who had been learning all about the Vikings this half term....they went down well.

I do love this time of year when I can quite easily fill our house with one of my favourite flowers.
I also baked some Lemon Drizzle cake....using my trusted recipe.
Daisy has taken a liking to the furry hood on my coat!

I popped over to see my mum and her dog Frankie was very entertaining!
There was a lovely little Photography exhibition in our local supermarket all about the local community.
I started a new book....very good so far.
I have been working on a secret project this week....Milo helped!

I met up for a walk and lunch with a friend on Wednesday.....just before Storm Doris hit!
we ended up at our favourite cafe....the Limekiln Cafe near Uppermill.
Thursday and The cats and I stayed put, me stitching and watching 'Testament of Youth' and them sleeping.
Daisy was feeling under the weather. We think she has fallen when trying to jump to the top of the wardrobe...she isn't very good at it! Anyway she seems fine now thank goodness as we didn't fancy trying to get her to the vets.....she is a nightmare!
Friday was a lovely morning and I had afternoon tea with friends at Rochdale Town Hall

They were jut getting ready for a wedding
The Clock Tower Restaurant was closed for refurbishment so we were in the Zodiac Bar upstairs.
It was delicious!
We admired the new Gracie Fields Statue in the town centre
Then popped into Touchstones to see a really lovely little exhibition called 'Frocks'
Then on Saturday I went to see Funny Girl at the Palace Theatre in Manchester
Sheridan Smith was very good as Fanny Brice.
And that was my half term....back to work tomorrow!
