May...yes I know!

Even though my birthday is in April, I love May. It is such a glorious month. I have to say this year has been a tad disappointing, it was very wet but it had its moments.

The wood turned blue with bluebells.

And wild garlic.

We have had plenty of walks, this was one along the canal with lunch at Boaty Toasties.

When we went into lock-down in March last year our local walks became our way to keep our minds and bodies healthy. We discovered so many beautiful places to walk locally and I vowed to keep going.
So the following photos are photos from my walks. Some times Hubby comes along but more often than not I go on my own.

I even did a few tree drawings one day

These are all walks from our front door...we are blessed to live in such a beautiful place.

The above is a photo collage taken throughout the process of making butter! we did it in school as part of a history lesson, the children ate some on fresh bread at the end of the day.
The garden was starting to pop too...

The tulips were fantastic this year!

Then we popped to Wales for the bank holiday weekend.
We met some friends for a walk.

A visit to Shell Island

We also did a little work at The Pines, sanding down woodwork.
But I will leave you with a walk we did twice. We stumbled across a magical woodland and I returned on another day to take some more photos with my camera instead of my phone. I watched a deer gently wander across the fallen leaves and pull at the low branches for his evening meal. It is a really lovely peaceful and magical place, I want to return. It is only on the other side of the village but quite a walk away so I need to drive there again soon.

So that was May in one blog post...Hope you enjoyed looking through the photos. June next when I will tell you more about my Charity Step Challenge and my FitBit.
