May

 So we come to May. 

I have to say after April, May is my next favourite month. It has a feel of hope about it.

The wisteria in the garden had BIG fat buds on...

A local walk near Norland.

A walk on 3rd May after work...

Up the green lane on the hill behind our house...

I found these blossom trees after I ventured over a style on the side of the lane I was walking down from Soyland.

then back through Fiddle Wood.

Then in May we had a Street Party to celebrate King Charles 3rd Coronation.

An early lunch at a neighbours on the day of the Coronation

Then baking for the street party on the Sunday.

It was a lovely sunny day for our street party, the day after it rained all day!

And it was that time of year to go and see the bluebells in the woods.

and wild garlic.

I was followed at the end of this walk by a group of curious young cows.

I started making a shawl to go with my outfit for a wedding in June. Above I took it with me on a journey to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

We met up with friends, had lunch at the cafe and then took in the Simon Parker exhibition in the main building before going for a lovely long walk around the park.

Back home in the garden, the grass needed cutting, beds weeding and hedge trimmed but the Apple Blossom was out!

Next was a picnic and a walk around Pickerings Pasture with my mum and her dog.

We come to mid way through May.
