So we finished school for the Easter holiday on the 1st April.
But before we finished we had the usual Easter activities...The younger children made Easter Bonnets and the older children decorated eggs.We also had our annual Easter Bake off...Made Easter cards...Easter baking and making...
At home the neighbours and I decided to decorate our front windows for Easter...Easter Sunday we joined the neighbours (with Easter Bonnets) for a socially distanced get together, shared some treats and we were so happy to be outside with friends for a few hours (it got very chilly so we were soon back inside in front of a fire!)
I decided to write Happy Easter on the window and went outside to check it was all the right way around...Daisy was being very cute, checking it out on the inside. You've guessed it the whole thing ended up on the floor!
On the Good Friday I went to see my mum. We took her dog, Frankie to a favourite place, Pickering's Pasture. It is an old industrial wasteland turned into a fantastic nature reserve on the banks of the river Mersey. It has been a favourite place for our family to walk our dogs over the years. My mum and dad watched it grow from the early stages and my dad loved watching the birds from the Bird Hide there. Since my dad passed away mum has continued to walk which ever dog we owned and even now although she is unsteady on her feet, with her stroller she managed a good walk, although it was a bit chilly in the wind when we were out of the trees.And there was Easter cheesecake for pudding!Back home and more time spent in the garden, dodging the sleet showers!Misty watched a mole hole for hours one day...
I also got a new book to read...
