Golden September

On a Grey, misty November day it is nice to look back on what was a glorious September.

Having said that it was a grey day in September we visited the National Waterways museum at Ellesmere Port

 Loads to see and we didn't get around all of it so we will have to return another day.

The cats and I enjoyed a few evenings in the garden soaking up the last of the sunshine.

 Climbing on the greenhouse seems to be the latest craze!

 I had a lovely catch up with my best friend at our usual cafe in Uppermill

 It was the Village Michaelmas Show

I had 'points' knocked off for the icing on my lemon drizzle cake. Apparently they were judging by WI standards but no one knew this? anyway I personally think the baking category is all 'who you know and not the cakes themselves', I was a bit fed up at the time and vowed never to enter anything ever again at the show.....we will see, I may have calmed down by next September

I couldn't stay for the judging, I set up then went to an Afternoon tea cookery class at Saddleworth Cookery School

 Then I got back and Hubby had collected my things from the show...

 We had Afternoon tea that night for tea!!

On another day we went for a mooch around Haworth

and on the way back we called in at Oakworth Station.

 One morning I stopped on the way to work to photograph these cows in the field

 and I went up to church to plan our remembrance service one afternoon after school 

We had to say goodbye to our favourite fish at school too....he had grown too big for our tank and the fish leasing company took him away to another home....he had such a smiley face, I miss him! 

 In class two we were making War Horse sock puppets.

 and also in church we hosted our annual Macmillan coffee morning

 The children in school each made Remembrance pictures for our service in church in November.

I really do think that is the end of September 2018!
