Apple Blossom Time

And so we come to May....did I tell you it was my favourite month?
In school we did a Maypole dance (with only 8 children the adults in school had to step up and join in!) We made May day cakes and celebrated the coming of spring.
And every day we made our snacks a little more interesting!

The garden has been my sanctuary in these strange times....

Our apple trees have had the best blossom I have seen in the past 15 years....since we moved in in 2005

Milo loves to climb the old apple tree
I have done some art and crafts too...(although I didn't manage to tidy my workroom!)

I did two paintings to raise money for a local cat sanctuary.
 More apple blossom photos-
all too soon the petals began to fall....

(sorry about the Blossom Spam!)
A short walk around the block one evening we spotted a few bluebells...

back in the garden I took some close up photos .....

And one evening we went for a walk in Rough Hey Wood. We went a couple of weeks earlier but we were just a little too soon to see the bluebells at their best....
so a return visit was needed.

We went from Apple Blossom spam to Bluebell spam!
I have been doing a weekly quiz with some friends....I'm not that good at it but it is good fun and we chat during it and have a giggle.
My drive to work is quiet, but I am seeing more vehicles on the road since last weekend.
When we are in the garden Misty is usually around (Daisy and Milo sleep inside....a lot!)

I was having a lovely drive home from school one day and then was so, so sad to see my favourite tree had been felled! I did a whole year of photos about this old Horse Chestnut tree (in my side bar)

and now it has gone.....

Sorry if there are any spelling mistakes in my posts from now on....Blogger has removed the spellcheck feature!!
