So my charity challenges for February are going ok. I have not done as much walking as usual or as much as I would like.
I stop on the way home from work most evenings to do a short walk. The weather and daylight sometimes against me.I am now on the home straight. I have been getting the children in class to add my miles up each day and we are now on half term so I am just making a note each day, they will add them all up on the first day back at school which is the last day of my challenges!February has been a very wet and windy month and it hasn't been all that nice walking in that sort of weather but I think I walked at least half a mile on the days I couldn't manage a proper walk.I will do a BIG post about my walks early in March when it's done and I know how much money I have raised.But here is a little bit about the rest of February so far.
I've been feeding the birds, this cheeky robin is always first on the feeder. I feel safe to feed them at this time of year as the cats are sulking inside...they hate the wind and the rain!I did the Big Garden bird watch for the RSPB at the end of January too.

At school the children in class one made a warming vegetable soup.In class 3 they made their own ink and made stone age drawings using a twig.
And I have taken a few photos of Brimmycroft Lane on the way home. These next photos are from the end of January...
We did some wassailing for our three apple trees...no singing but I did read a wasailing rhyme and we toasted the trees with mulled cider.
I stopped on the way home to take photos of the grass blowing in the wind where it had been trapped in a fence!

Chocolate orange vegan cookies were also baked. I visited the garden a few times, it has been to wet to do much.On to Valentines Day. I made some heart shaped ginger biscuits, Hubby took lots to work, I did too but I also packaged some up and hung them on our lovely neighbours doors.
The village went all romantic too!Then it was back home for a lovely meal and a surprise bouquet of flowers!
Hubby's home made vegan no fish and chips!An impromptu visit to Bankfield to see the Kate Lycett exhibition and a look at 'Memory Lane'
