(long post ahead!)
So we arrived at the second week of my Easter Break
So far it had been very relaxing and catching up with Shan and a couple of nice walks.
The second week and it was going to be busy.
I have now mastered the art of making my birthday last a long time.
So.......
We start with a walk around Sowerby Bridge. Not a tourist place but it has some interesting things to look at.

On my Birthday I went to Ilkley with my mum.

It was a gorgeous sunny day.
It was very tempting but there was a long queue so we didn't eat at Betty's.
It really is a pretty place.
This shop looked really interesting but it was closed! ( I love Vera.... it has a website here)
We nipped down the road to Skipton for afternoon tea.
Then on the Thursday Hubby was off work and we went to see The Grand Budapest Hotel in Hebden Bridge.
Just a few of the lovely birthday gifts I was lucky enough to receive.
Good Friday was another beautifully sunny day.

We decided to go for a walk in Lancashire and picked a walk near Clitheroe.
We started in Clitheroe.....a coffee and sandwich.

They were ready for St Georges day in the High Street.
Then we drove to a little village called Pendleton
It has a little stream going right down the centre of the main street.
And so we started our walk.
We walked down lanes, tracks and across fields.
Ahead was Pendle Hill
Half way round and we arrived at Worston. A refreshing drink at the Calf's Head. It has a lovely garden to sit in.

And we ended up back at Pendleton
The tulips in our garden have been lovely this spring.
Easter Saturday we went for a family meal,
And then of course there was chocolate on Easter Sunday!
