Beside the sea....

On our last evening in Wales......

 One last walk around Harlech and a lovely meal at The Plas.

Then we drove home via Llandudno.

Hubby had never been. I went for a short break with  my mum in April 2012.

 Fish, chips and mushy peas eaten on the Great Orme

We were not alone....

 Then we explored the Great Orme.

 This sculpture of the wild goats is at the Visitor centre 

 Then we saw them for ourselves as we drove back to town

Then a walk along the promenade

and the pier.

It was very busy.

 we had time for an ice cream

But we had to drag ourselves away from the blue skies and sunshine at the seaside and head for home.

So what else has been happening? Well I did manage to post about the Tour de France came to Yorkshire, that was a very exciting and fun weekend.
Way back in December last year I bought Hubby a birthday present. An Owl walk.

We redeemed the voucher some time in June. Meet Barny, with Hubby (who flies to the glove) and Will, with me (who will not fly but likes to come out for a walk anyway)

 Then we drove to a nearby National Trust House and Garden, Beningbrough Hall near York.

The end of another lovely day.

 And I have been busy in my workbook/sketchbook

Postcard from North Wales (4)

I know, I know......Wales was so long ago but I have so many photos I want to share here on my blog I'm afraid I just have to do another postcard!

So much more has happened since and I am a poor blogger at the moment but now I have finished school for the summer I hope to catch up and get around to reading some more of your blogs. 
But back to our holiday in North Wales.

 This was a day we went on the Fffestiniog and Welsh Highlands Railway.

 It was a bit of a dull morning but the views from the train were quite good as we climbed from Minffordd up to Ffestiniog.

 Then we had lunch here at Plas Brondanw and a walk around the garden. Last visited in 2012 in this post here.

And then back towards home and a walk along the estuary at Morfa Harlech

The next day I dropped off Hubby ay Rhud Duu so he could walk up Snowdon and I drove to Llanberis and caught the train up! 

 There he goes......

It was fine down in the valley but as you got higher it got cloudy. It was very different to the last time we went up in this post here.

Then we both walked down to Llanberis. (boy were my legs hurting the next day!)

Back in Llanberis we stopped on the way home to look at these lovely rhododendrons.
