Christmas 2024

 So the last post about 2024.

Christmas was always going to be hard this year so we decided to not do the normal things we would do as that would just remind us of the people who won't be with us. We planned to go for a picnic on Christmas day then down to the Pines on Boxing Day.

The tree went up but it took a few days before I managed to put the decorations on it.

School Christmas play means props and scenery.

No cards this year but money for the Donkeys instead.

I made Christmas biscuits and distributed them to the neighbours!

Christmas eve and I had developed a pain in my hip luckily I managed to get an appointment at my osteopath and he said I had hip bursitis. No walking up steep hills for us so we walked along the canal for our Christmas eve walk. This caused a problem for our walk on Christmas Day. 

as luck would have it we managed to find a pub on the canal on Christmas eve that had had a cancelation for Christmas Day!

So on Christmas Day we opened a few presents then went to the pub for a lovely Vegetarian Christmas Lunch then back to carry on opening our pressies!

Boxing Day we drove down to The Pines. (photos have gone on in reverse order!)

We had our delayed picnic the day after Boxing Day with a spectacular view of the mountains.

A drive over to Skipton via Haworth (in reverse!) when we were back home.

A walk along the canal where we saw a kingfisher.

Back to Christmas Day!!

So a different Christmas this year, quiet but enjoyable.
