So our holiday started in in Devon ( see previous post) but we had arrived in Cornwall. In a lovely converted barn not too far from St Tudy in North Cornwall to be exact.
It was beautifully decorated inside and very quiet except from the farm cows occasionally mooing it was a lovely peaceful spot.
We watched the goldfinches eating seeds in the morning from our bedroom window.
We drove through St Tudy on the way to Port Quin
A beautiful tribute to the men of the village who died in the first world war.
A coffee to start the day....
Port Quin was a very pretty little cove.
And only a few people there to enjoy it.
Then on to Port Isaac, where we found lots of people enjoying the pretty little place.
Port Isaac
It was lunch time by then....
So we picked the delightful Krab Pot and sat upstairs to watch the holiday makers in the street below while we ate.
Then a stroll around. The main road near to the harbour is very busy (mainly with Doc Martin Fans I think!) but if you go up the little side streets it is lovely and quiet.
We don't watch Doc Martin but you might recognise some of the places.
We guessed this was the Doc's House
It really is such a pretty place to visit.
Through the visitors centre (and a nice little exhibition about the history of the place)
It was a long way up!
We were sat taking in the spectacular scenery when something fell out of the sky right next to us....can you spot him in the next photo?
I'll zoom in.....
He had a rest....then flew away.
It was a long walk back down and then to the village.
The Old Post Office (NT) was closed but we took some photos from the street.
Then back to the cottage for a rest!
