It has been a long short month!
And we have been plodding on waiting for the spring to arrive.
It has been a cold February....and this was before the Beast from The East arrived!
Last week I took my class 3 children out to draw the trees on the hillside opposite our school.
I was very happy when my new embroidery thread arrived!
Then last Friday I travelled after work to Manchester....Salford to be exact to meet Hubby.
I arrived as the setting sun hit the side of the buildings on the Quay.
First a lovely meal at Prezzo (we shared pudding!)
then we walked to The Lowry Theatre
we were first through the doors!
It was a really fabulous play....funny in places with great songs and more than a nod to the great David Lean film of 1945. Its touring so if you get the chance to go and see it, it is worth while.
We managed an hour in the garden last weekend too.....

The snow kept coming and going all day.

It was a lovely evening but I was going out....
Daisy wanted me to stay in.....
I was off to Saddleworth Cookery School to make pastry.....

We made Tarte au citron and chicken and leek pie.....tomorrows tea sorted!
I drove home after the class in the snow....a very scary drive. I parked my car here on the main road and walked back up the hill to our house.
The next morning I walked back down and found the main road was very bad so walked back up and phoned the headteacher....I doubt if I will be able to go in today I explained!
Daisy was happy!
I fed the birds three times!
Some were more happy than others about the adverse weather conditions!!
It has been snowing on and off all day, we must have about five inches now.
There was only half an hour of sunshine before it started again....
and I saw this man tonight walking his dog in minus temperatures wearing shorts!!
