London in August

We spent a week in August in our fine capital city. We had an amazing time...here is a short round up for you.

Photos are not in the correct order and I can list only some of the things we saw and did...so here goes. Scroll down for day by day info!














Battersea Power Station


We stayed in the Kingsland Dalston area of London

Day 1 we did 24,676 steps mainly around the Greenwich area taking in the Cutty Sark and an amazing pub, The Trafalgar.






Day 2 we did 20,703 steps. Uber boats, Battersea Power Station lift 109, an expensive umbrella, listening to Vivaldi played at St Martins in the field, lunch at the Royal Opera House, The National Portrait gallery and then a highlight of the week a trip to see Cabaret at The Kit Kat Club.




Day 3 18,466 steps. Museum of the Home, back to Greenwich and lunch at The Trafalgar, the Thames path, a cable car then back on an Uber Boat.

Day 4 24,499 steps. Temple, Sky Garden, The Cheshire Cheese on Fleet Street, Postman's Park, Bloomsbury, Soho, Neals Yard, China Town and Carnaby Street.

Day 5 23,223 steps. An amazing tour of Dennis Severs house in Spittlefields, we loved Spittlefields, Whitechapel, Monument and Canary Wharf.

Day 6 27,257 steps. Tour of Highgate Cemetery, lots of London Underground,  Dick Whittington's cat, Little Venice, Camden, Berkeley Square, Mayfair, Soho and a final drink on the roof terrace at our hotel.
