...it was grey with one snow day!
You probably don't want to see any more snowy photos but I am sure some will sneak their way in here on this post.So far February has been a bit grey. These first photos are from one of our local walks at the end of January. They have loaded all mixed up I am afraid.Mill Bank above
Field HouseField House was built in 1749 for George Stansfield, a wealthy land and mill owner. The village on the main road down the hill from the hall was originally called Stansfield Pond but it's name was changed to Triangle around 1760 when the new turnpike road was constructed and a piece of triangular land was left as the road split. The Triangle Inn was built on this land around the same time. Sadly it has been closed for many years and is in a sad state.
We walked along lanes from our house, through Triangle and towards Mill bank and then back through the woods.The cats were less than impressed with the weather!

Then the following weekend we walked from the house towards Ripponden then up to Soyland over the tops towards The Blue Ball then back to Soyland and home.
we were following the Parish Council Heritage Walk...I told you we would have a bit of snow!We are trying to do more steps in 2021 this was the step count for this walk.This next lot of photos are also a local walk. If one good thing has come from this Lock down it's we are finding the beauty close to home and we are lucky enough to have it on our doorstep.
The first snowdrops seen on 31st Januaryand daffodils starting too!I did do another cat portrait as a prize for the Yorkshire Cat Rescue.
His name was Scratchy.
He did have the most enormous green eyes in the photo i worked from! So February is here, lets see what it brings...
