May

And so we move on to May. As these are whole months in one post...they are going to be long, you may need a coffee!

It was time to visit our local wood to see the bluebells.

A visit to Dunham Massey.

And a lovely exhibition of Mary Delany's beautiful paper cut paintings.

A walk on Norland Moor.

back in the garden the wisteria was in full bloom.

A walk up to Soyland

It is lovely looking back to see all the spring flowers, May is my favourite month.

A trip to Manchester, Hubby and I and our friends, we went on the train so we could all have a drink. Lots of great traditional pubs and a pizza...we started early and was home before 9pm!

Back home...

A walk around Saddleworth one Monday afternoon

The villages of Saddleworth are on the border between Yorkshire and Lancashire (Greater Manchester) They moved from one to the other in 1974 when the boundaries changed, some local people still disagree, this sign made me giggle.

Pebble painting with some children at school.
It was a month of eating in the garden.
Brimmycroft Lane 27th May

Back to Saddleworth to have a delicious afternoon tea with my best friend at The Swan in Dobcross.

I read another Ruth Hogan book...love her books.

and a walk along a local canal not too far from the nearest town to us.

and a breakfast at the end of my walk.

The garden looks its best in May. We spend a lot of time outside in the spring.
One last walk in May...

Can you see her? a deer trying to stay hidden in the long grass.

We have two bank holidays in May in the UK and we managed two trips to The Pines. I will put a link on here when I get around to putting the posts on my other blog, 102 The Pines.
Thank you to those that bother to read my blog despite my erratic posting!
